Our Commitment

Pinoy Room Finder is committed to equal housing opportunity for all people. We comply with the federal Fair Housing Act (42 U.S.C. § 3601 et seq.) and all applicable state and local fair housing laws. We do not discriminate in the rental of housing on the basis of race, color, national origin, religion, sex, familial status, or disability, or any other characteristic protected by applicable law.

Open to Everyone

While Pinoy Room Finder was founded by and is popular within the Filipino-American community, our platform is open to all people of all backgrounds, nationalities, and identities. Anyone may list a room or search for a room on this platform. We do not restrict access to listings based on any protected characteristic.

Prohibited Listing Content

Landlords and room listers who use this platform are prohibited from including any language in their listings that expresses a preference, limitation, or discrimination based on a protected characteristic. This includes but is not limited to:

  • Stating or implying that only persons of a specific race, ethnicity, or national origin are welcome
  • Specifying a gender preference for tenants in any advertisement
  • Indicating that families with children, persons with disabilities, or persons of a specific religion are not welcome
  • Using language that would discourage a person in a protected class from applying

Listings that violate this policy will be removed. Repeat violators may have their accounts suspended.

Reporting Discriminatory Listings

If you encounter a listing on our platform that you believe contains discriminatory language or preferences, please report it using the "Report this listing" button on the listing page, or contact us directly. We take all reports seriously and will review flagged listings promptly.

Filing a Fair Housing Complaint

If you believe you have been the victim of housing discrimination, you have the right to file a complaint with the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD):
